A New Koinonia
Doing Life Together
A place for leaders to foster community and faithful discipleship through Communities of Practice, Virtual Engangement and Leadership Development.
A New Koinonia

In America, we are experiencing a decline in community. Isolation, depression, and lack of community are plaguing our country. In a digital age where innovation and technology continue to shape the way in which our society connects and relates to each other, leaders have an opportunity to extend their reach and become intentional about their adoption and adaption of technology. With intentionality comes stewardship of how to allow it to not be negatively disruptive but become transformational within their context. The Greek term Koinonia (fellowship, partnership, and discipleship) provides a framework to support leaders in the 21st century.

This site seeks to show how doing life together in community through the integration of both the theological (Koinonia) and the practical frameworks (Communities of Practice, and Cycle of Praxis) serve as a foundational approach to the problem at hand. This approach can be both established and replicated within many organizations. In addition, we focus on both leadership development and expanding virtual engagement within an organization. As we embrace this opportunity and begin to engage in shifting in a new direction, we as leaders in the 21st Century are positioned to participate in a renewed, sustainable, and meaningful community.
